So my new group of "young friends" and I head to a place called the Garage in Cuneo. They pronounce it with the stress on Ga which is almost impossible for me to say. The place was super duper crowded and full of all kinds of people. I love how the Italians here don't care about what they are wearing and are all just dancing really dorkily to hip hop music that was overplayed at home about ... ummm... yea... 3 years ago! (Let's Get It Started Black Eyed Peas, 50 cent, etc.) Then when their Italian music comes on they go CRAZY, singing aloud and dancing!
The guys have been paying for us all night long and I noticed that the mixed drinks here are all SO STRONG! Unfortunately my camera died so I couldn't capture this night, so instead of taking pics I go dance like a dork too. I am pretty good at that actually!
I feel a little embarrassed because I feel the dilemma of wanting to have fun and just let go and trying to keep a respectful reputation of being a teacher in this small town. But I have learned my lesson from the old mafia guys that have been calling me non stop for 2 days. Never give your number out! I played dumb with these guys who were asking me for my number and said that I didn't have a phone here yet. Of course he gave me his number and another one said he was going to stop by the school to find me. Oh no! We finally got outta there...
Sometimes I feel like I am being set up with the guy Davide in the group even though everyone knows I have a boyfriend at home. I get the feeling he likes me which might make things complicated down the road but at least he is fun to hang out with.
As soon as I got home, I grabbed a spoon of my new favorite Nutella and hit the sack!
