Accomodations

There are so many wonderful places to say in the Langhe from luxury resorts, farmhouses (agriturismos), cozy B&Bs and apartments. Here are a few of my suggestions:
ALBA

    • Villa Favorita: Great for its ideal location. You are near the center of Alba (possible to walk but gets a little dangerous on a few curves in the dark) however you get the country farmhouse feel. Roberta is a fantastic and warm house and their breakfasts are to die for!
    • Vinoteca Sacrestia: With just a few rooms, this inn is brand new. They have an enoteca downstairs and are right in the hub of everything in the historical town center of Alba.
    • Hotel Langhe: Extremely nice hosts who will make your stay as comfortable as possible. They offer bikes to reach the town center quicker although it is possible by foot too.

LA MORRA

    • Palas Cerequio: Luxury resort with private restaurant immersed in the best Barolo vineyard crus. Swimming pool and tasting room. If you are into hiking, you could walk to the town center otherwise you will need a car or taxi service to transfer you.
    • Fior di Farina: A casual recently renovated inn at a local flour mill. You are walking distance to the center and have wonderful breakfasts and a new pool to enjoy.
    • Corte Gondina: Upscale hotel located in the center of La Morra
    • Azienda Agricola Brandini: A renovated farmhouse with pool and small winery connected to worldwide chain Eataly.

BAROLO

  • Torre Barolo:  Feels like you are on top of the world on this amazing rooftop terrace! A one of a kind apartment to rent out.
  • La Rosa Gialla: Marina and Gianni will make you feel at home. There brand new apartments are A Class in terms of being eco-friendly. You have a nice view of Monviso mountain and can enjoy their own homemade wine. There is a nice swimming pool and you may even be able to book a truffle hunt with Gianni! Need a car to reach either La Morra or Barolo.
  • Cà San Ponzio: Agriturismo with camping available in the summer. Country style with very accommodating hosts. Once people stay here they always come back!

MONFORTE

    • Anfiteatro Apartamenti: Under new management, these once beautiful apartments are even better. Each apartment has its own terrace with a view of the vineyards and the mountains. Complete with a swimming pool and mini fitness center, you can also rent bikes to ride up to the town center.
    • Villa Beccaris:WOW!!! Five star luxury with amazing panoramas… jacuzzis in rooms, swimming pools, first class, situated on the top of the hill in a lovely town.

SINIO

  • Castello di Sinio: Denise the proprietor is fantastic. She will help you with planning the best vacation for you. This is a luxury hotel built inside a castle with a gourmet restaurant and small pool. You are right in the town center but since it is just a sleepy village you will need a car to explore.

NOVELLO

  • Villa Ribota: Rich and Allegra have just opened this beautifully renovated villa perfect for families or friends. A brand new pool, overlooks the vineyards and the hosts can help book any activities you would like. You are a stone’s throw away from La Morra, Barolo and Novello but should have a car to get into the town centers quickly. There are beautiful vineyard hikes surrounding the villa as well.

SERRALUNGA d’ALBA

  • Cascina Meriame – Farmhouse/winery. Gracious hosts in a beautiful setting and they make amazing wine!

BRA

  • Ascheri: Modern style hotel/winery/restaurant in walking distance to Bra’s bustling town center.

CANALE

  • Villa Tiboldi: Beautiful country resort with own restaurant and winery in the Roero area.

GOVONE

  • Antica Locanda San Pietro: Recently and completely renovated, this small farmstyle hotel has all the ammenities you need. Private restaurant, swimming pool and spa. In the Roero area.

VERDUNO

  • Bricco dei Cogni: Great setting and brunch. Farmhouse with a pool.

MANGO:

  • Cascina Brusalino: Pool, great view and possibility to eat vegan cuisine in their restaurant.

NEVIGLIE

  • Dindina: Small cozy b&b in the tiny town of Neviglie. Possibility to take cooking courses, nice breakfast and even is a small private winery.

FOSSANO

  • Palazzo Righini: Named as the top hotel in Piemonte, this is a luxury hotel without being pretentious. Fossano is about 30 – 45 minutes away from the Langhe but is a great central location if you would like to visit Torino or the Alpine valleys. I live in this town so I could even meet you for a drink or coffee before we do our tour! Great value, excellent restaurant and private spa.

DOGLIANI

  • Casa Matilda: Modern apartments located in a working family farm.

TORINO

    • Hotel Victoria:This is a cozy cottage-like hotel located right in the heart of the city. It also has a relaxing spa where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is well-known even among the locals as being one of the most charming hotels in Torino. (my parents have stayed there and loved it!) It is a bit expensive. Over 200€ a night I believe.
    • Star Hotel Majestic:Right across from the station! Elegant and surprisingly the best price if you book right away! 91-120 dollars! I highly recommend it!
