The Dress was a size 10 and I got it at home with my mom 11 months before the wedding date.

I wasn’t that crazy about it because it was a little simple for me but it was the last afternoon before I was coming back to Italy. I wouldn’t have my mom to drive me around, or my friends’ advice, or their wallets to help me pay for it! I had the idea that Italian dresses were too foofy for me even though I hadn’t looked at all!It was a weird feeling to get my wedding dress and not feel totally in love with it but I was sure that it would grow on me…so I got it all altered to a size 0 in 2 weeks when I was home for christmas and it turned out perfectly thank god. I just couldn’t gain a pound because it fit just right. The seamstress took the extra material and made a bow thing to put on the front which made me feel better. I rolled it up in my suitcase and carried it on the airplane in a little poofy ball. I was sick of looking at it for 10 months in its garment back hanging on my door and couldn’t wait to just put it on!

Of course the BEST dry cleaners in saluzzo just closed as soon as I got home from vacation so I had no idea where to bring the dress. I waited and waited to get it pressed until the last week (again.. everything until the last week) and risked it with one that I heard was good. The length was perfect for my coral colored shoes LUCKY! The shoes were an impulse buy at the Giorgio Armani Outlet in Milan. I had no idea what color the bridesmaid coral was going to be but I just guessed and I was pretty close! I loved it when I put everything on and it all worked out…
